WHAT IS AMGEVITA?
If you have been prescribed AMGEVITA, it is because you have a disease that occurs when people have too much TNF-alpha (also known as tumour necrosis factor) in their bodies. The extra TNF-alpha can attack normal healthy body tissues and cause inflammation.
AMGEVITA is a type of medicine called a monoclonal antibody, and it binds to TNF-alpha. By binding to TNF-alpha, AMGEVITA decreases the inflammation process of certain diseases.

AMGEVITA can be used in the following people and conditions:
ADULTS WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
- CROHN’S DISEASE
- ULCERATIVE COLITIS
- PLAQUE PSORIASIS
- RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS
- PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS
- ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS
- HIDRADENITIS SUPPURATIVA
AMGEVITA is for adults who have moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa that has not responded to antibiotics. - UVEITIS
CHILDREN OR ADOLESCENTS:
- CHILDREN 13 TO 17 YEARS OLD (WEIGHING 40 KG OR MORE) WITH CROHN’S DISEASE
AMGEVITA is for children who have severe Crohn’s disease or Crohn’s disease that has not
responded to other usual treatments. - CHILDREN 5 TO 17 YEARS OLD WITH ULCERATIVE COLITIS
- CHILDREN 2 YEARS OLD AND OLDER WITH POLYARTICULAR JUVENILE IDIOPATHIC ARTHRITIS
- ADOLESCENTS 12 TO 17 YEARS OLD (WEIGHING 30 KG OR MORE) WITH HIDRADENITIS SUPPURATIVA
AMGEVITA is for adolescents who have moderate to severe hidradenitis suppurativa that has not responded to antibiotics. - CHILDREN 2 YEARS OLD AND OLDER WITH CHRONIC NON-INFECTIOUS UVEITIS AFFECTING THE FRONT OF THE EYE
