HOW DO I TAKE AMGEVITA?
HOW DO I GIVE AMGEVITA TO MY
CHILD?
AMGEVITA is given as an injection under the skin that you can do yourself (after proper training from your healthcare professional).
AMGEVITA comes in two formats: a single-use prefilled SureClick® autoinjector and a single-use prefilled syringe.
- All AMGEVITA formats are latex free.
Whether you use the AMGEVITA prefilled SureClick autoinjector or the prefilled syringe depends on what your healthcare professional has prescribed.
Talk to your doctor about the recommended dose for you, and take AMGEVITA exactly as prescribed. For more detailed dosing information, click here to download Patient Medication Information.
AMGEVITA 40 mg comes in a single-use, prefilled SureClick autoinjector
The SureClick autoinjector helps you inject with the push of a button. Here are some of its features.
There is a WINDOW where you can see the medicine.
- When the injection is complete, the window turns yellow.
- If you don’t hear a “click” at the end of the injection, you can check this window to confirm a complete injection.
- Important: When you remove the autoinjector, if the window has not turned yellow or if it looks like the medicine is still injecting, this means you have not received a full dose. Call your healthcare professional immediately.
The needle is invisible throughout the injection
(underneath the
YELLOW CAP and yellow safety
guard).
- The safety guard covers the needle before and after the injection.
- The injection will only start when the safety guard is pushed into the autoinjector.
Please read the Patient Medication Information that came in the AMGEVITA package for complete instructions on how to use and how to inject with the SureClick autoinjector.
It is also important that you do not try to give the injection unless you or your caregiver has received training from a healthcare professional.
A SureClick autoinjector how-to-inject video is available here.
Please read the Patient Medication Information that came in the AMGEVITA package for complete instructions on how to use and how to inject with the prefilled syringe.
It is also important that you do not try to give the injection unless you or your caregiver has received training from a healthcare professional.
AMGEVITA 20 mg and 40 mg come in a prefilled syringe
AMGEVITA is also available in a prefilled syringe (see image below). Like the SureClick, the prefilled syringe is also intended for use at home.
